With wPDF you now have everything you need to export PDF from ReportBuilder(tm), WPTools, THTMLView, ACE-Reporter(tm), RAVE(tm), QuickReport, FastReport etc.
Among other features, such as the TransparentBlt support, standard brush styles and optimizing image embedding, Version 3 adds support for CIDFonts (unicode and smaller PDFfiles) and support for PDF/a compatible files (tagged PDF, XMP metadata).
On this page we only list the upgrades, please use our general order page to oder a new license.
Technical note: wPDF converts enhanced metafiles to PDF while preserving the vector and text information. This results in small PDF files which can be printed at high resolution, thus making wPDF superior to other solutions which convert embedded metafiles into bitmaps. wPDF supports the usual PDF features, including compression and 128 bit encryption and it was the first Delphi library to allow embedding of font subsets to reduce file size even further. CIDfonts allo to embedd unicode characters (i.e. russian, greek) even if they were used without having provided the respective charset. PDF/A is a norm to guarantee the possibility to use a PDF file in future, too. It does not only forbid the use of certain PDF features (i.e. security) but also requires the addition of XML meta data (XMP format) and special tags in page description.
